Fairs, hearts and a big thank you !!

Phew.....what a busy weekend. Thanks for all your well wishes on my last post. The craft fair went much, much better than I expected and I would like to thank Charlotte @silvermousey and Sarah @www.decolalia who both organise the chorleycontemporarycrafters fair, thanks for organising such a great event.  I met some lovely people and great artists.  Racheal from blog.raeofsun.co.uk was on the stall next to mine, she makes beautiful ceramics that you can find here on Folksy and her stall looked amazing.  Rach from www.birdhousepress.co.uk
also had an amazing stall.  She has a printing table in her garage and I'm soooo jealous.  In fact, I'd really like my own printing table as well as a kiln but I suppose I'll just have to be happy with my soon-to-be craft room, lol.

Yes I took some pictures, thanks Kerry from seaside sundae xx

Next  is picture of a  bird and a heart I made the day before the craft fair, unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of the bird as I sold it but I am making some more at the moment.

Sold love bird

Right, onto something completely different........I have been giving my friend Denise a few pointers on how to use the sewing machine.  She is finally doing an Art and Design coarse at college (she has been saying she will for much too long now) and has bought a brand new machine to do her work on.  Now she would say that she can't sew but believe me, she can and she has so many ideas in her head that I sometimes think she's a little overwhelmed and just needs a little push in the right direction.  Anyway, on Sunday after the craft fair, she came to see me (even though she had already been to see me at the fair, bit of morale support) and she gave me the most gorgeous gift for helping her.  I told her that I enjoyed showing her how to use the machine and that's what friends are for but she gave me some Orla Kiely items to say thank you for my time (yes she is a very naughty girl). They are so gorgeous and very much appreciated that I wanted to share them with you.  Thank you so much, my lovely friend Denise xx.  Haven't I got the nicest friend ?

Denise has a couple of my journals and won't use them and I'm always telling her to 'get them used', I wonder if I'll take my own advice.....I doubt it, they are much to nice to use, lol.

Her lovely card with lovely neat writing!
Well, bye for now, off to list a few things on Folksy.......late night for me I think xx

  8. Came across your blog via Pinterest. How gorgeous are your things! Really lovely. It's nice to find other people who make lovely stuff but also who don't have enough hours in the day - my Folksy & Etsy shops are woefully empty at the moment but a few things are in the pipeline. My blog is at www.crafthippy.com if you would like to stop by. Happy stitching. Jane xx

    1. Came across you in this months 'Handmade Living' and fell in love with your blue teddy. Have been dabbling with fabric crafts a little while and would love to do a craft show but when I applied for a stall in a local show was told I needed special insurance... as I am only thinking of doing one craft show, this is going to be very expensive.... how do other crafters overcome this problem?
