You know me by now.....lots of photo's and not much waffle. Very good at talking but not so good at writing :/, sorry.
I have really enjoyed my work this month...I have made a huge decision not to take many orders or commissions. I feel I need to wake up each morning feeling inspired to create something new as otherwise I would have nothing to show you. Ideas seem to come more easily when I don't think about them for to long or get them finished for a certain time, hope this makes sense.
So here goes..... first of all a papercut. Happiness :)
Happiness was inspired by a gift I was given by my lovely friend D from See you at D's. A gorgeous blue Vulcan Junior toy sewing machine. I've had my eye on one for a while and it has to be about the best gift ever. Thank you D :)
Introducing Little M and Lola......
Another one I've struggled to part with :( But she has now gone to her new home and I hear she is very happy.
'Imagine' is a small A4 paper cut which I decided to hand stitch into. I am hoping to do another one with some machine stitching also......
Little G, she has also flown the nest :(.....
I'm hoping she's behaving herself for her new owner ;)
Now this photo is of Illia (lady of the mist). She was a gift to myself from the hugely talented Nicole at Mahlimae on Facebook. I love Nicole's work and had to get my hands on one of her creations !!
Isn't she lovely?
Some lovely little Russian doll measuring cups given to me by a family member at Christmas which look lovely on the shelf in my kitchen.....
My tin collection ......
A couple of purchases including some more buttons ............
The buttons where from Alexsis at Seeded-Vintage Buttons Haberdashery (can't seem to stay away from her page). I am a button addict !!
The keyring (Stan) I won from Susan at Fat Hen and Flo ! I love her page and I love Stan too !
The fabric and pattern were from Jacqui at Fabric HQ. I am, however not going to make the apron myself ! I have kindly asked my mum if she would mind making it for me (terrible I know but I cannot sew in straight lines) ;)
Finally...I have been after an old case for what seems like ever !! Last week my other half came home from his mum's with a little brown case ! This belonged to his late granddad Fred and held his bus conductor machine. I have lined it and it has made a perfect little sewing case which now goes with me everywhere. I am tooo lucky I know !!
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and bye for now !
